Privacy

The short version
- No analytics scripts, no ad trackers, no tracking cookies.
- If you subscribe, we keep your email address to send the newsletter, and nothing else.
- You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.
What we collect
Newsletter sign-ups. Our newsletter is sent with beehiiv. When you subscribe through a beehiiv form, beehiiv stores your email address under its own privacy policy. Before our beehiiv form is live, the sign-up box saves your email address, the date, the page you signed up on and your optional answer to the Index Pro question in a private Cloudflare database; we then move those sign-ups into beehiiv to send the newsletter and delete the copy.
Messages. If you send a correction or a sponsor question, we store your message, the page and the email you give us, so we can reply.
Calculators. Calculators run in your browser. The numbers you type aren't sent to us; they stay in your browser's address bar so you can share a calculation.
Sponsor links. When you click the sponsor bar, we count the click (a number per sponsor per day) so we can report results to the sponsor. We don't record who clicked.
Payments. Sponsorships and the Profit Toolkit are paid through Stripe. We receive what Stripe gives sellers (your name, email and what you bought), never your card number.
Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent or share your email address. We don't buy lists. We don't use your data for ads.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. To have your data deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, use the form on our corrections page or reply to any newsletter.
